We hope our products bring you and your family good health as well as a variety of enjoyable flavours. 

 

Ak’Na began in 2020 from a connection between families in Puebla, Mexico and Ottawa, Canada. Ak’Na, Mayan for “universal mother”, inspires us to bring the great taste of the tropics northward. We also support Canadian-grown organic berry powders and greens.

Our focus is on flavour across all groupings: fruit and veg powders, chilies, coffee and cacao.

 

Our fruit and veg powders are either organically certified or premium naturals from Mexico - grown in small orchards without

the use of herbicides and pesticides. The processors we use are certified global food safety certified and maintain a rigorous

regimen of sourcing and analysis. 

 

 

 

Our specialty chilies combine centuries old cultivation techniques with novel flavour applications. Take a unique plant-based

product and make store-bought or wild meat and fish come alive again. The lovers of bean dishes will thank you. Chilies are the

foundation for the most creative sauces – and our variety offers endless possibilities.

 

 

 

 

Ak’Na’s Chiapas coffee is a full-bodied medium roast grown by Mayan, Tzotzil and Tzeltal communities in the misty mountains

of South Mexico. We also offer Brazilian and Costa Rican dark roast coffees.

 

Mexican Cacao is not only the most healthy and tasty beverage and baking ingredient; it is from rare criollo genetics that stretch

back to the origins of chocolate and make up less than 5% of the global supply.
